CONCEPT

"Opinions" is a project that collects hand movements in conversations and turns them into sounds. 

Body language is something that people always use but always do not pay much attention to. This project aims to raise awareness of body movements and let people appreciate their body more.

THE DESIGNER

Yanbin Song (Song) is an interaction designer in New York currently studying at Parsons the New school of Design.

COLLECTION PROCESS

  1. Invite people to sit down

  2. Let them choose a question

  3. Put the detector on their lap to detect hand movements while they are answering the question, and record the footage along with the sound generated at the same time.

  4. Play the recordings back to them

  5. Organize all recordings and make this website
